    glitter on my wrist!

for about a year now i've been drooling over a D&G crystal gold watch. i first saw it at macy's (of all places) & just fell in love. too bad i was hating the price tag of $425! although i loved it, i couldn't come up w/ a strong argument to win over mr. cly. so instead, i sadly watched August purchase the last one in the store.

to my surprise, he said i was crazy not to get it. do u believe that? he was actually encouraging shopping. i guess he thought it was that fab. so of course when i saw it this week on gilt... hee hee... how could i resist? especially since its for $212! half off baby!

    here's my lovely new purchase.
oh so lovely. if you're interested, there's still some left but hurry. i'm sure it won't last.

they also had a silver one. i was debating about this since August already had the gold but i just felt the silver was just too much bling. i can't really wear it out. it feels more black tie don't u think?

    lusts: strappy shoes

the fashions on the mtv movie awards weren't impressive but i did find something i was lovin! i first spotted them on ashley tisdale. just look at her shoes! oh so very sexy.

then megan fox went up w/ another pair of strappy shoes! i can't decide which i love best.

although i have no love for either of these girls, i was always looking forward for camera views of their shoes! so fierce! too bad i have such bad balance. i could never pull this style off. well... maybe just for when i had my bachelorette party but no where else. hee hee =)

    hollywood regency

since mr. cly & i have been been house hunting, i have found myself day dreaming about designing our future home. what floors would we have? what style would we have? white couch or dark couch? would it look nice? do we have any ability to decorate a home?

i came upon hollywood regency when i was following one of my favorite photographers: Trista Lerit Photography. she recently purchased a home w/ her super sweet hubby and posted such beautiful pics of their design choices.

just look at the floors! mr. cly & i are drooling over the rich chocolate color. we've been wanting to do dark floors with light furniture. (take a look at the before pic, BIG difference!)

    her very grand dining table.

isn't this chair too cute? every girl needs a chair like this in their "girlie" room!

i LOVE this dresser! the color!

    Mrs. Cly Updates

it's been slow on this blog and so i would like to apologize to my readers. i have to confess i'm a bit lost with coming up w/ blog posts. and if i do have an idea, i don't have any inspiration to take photos. i guess i just have alot on my mind lately and instead of keeping you all in the dark, i thought i would explain before i lose any readers i do have! =(

to make things short, here's my list:
    • i've been taking 2 classes while working 3 jobs! well, i actually work 1 full-time job and have 2 part-time gigs. u see, i'm a faculty member at college and have been in a temporary position for the past year. so to maintain security when my position ends, i've kept 2 of my part-time jobs.

    • i'm hoping to get 2 interviews to land my permanent position. i hate interviews! i'm not a strong extrovert so interviews make me feel so fake. plus the thought of 6-10 pple on the panel makes me sick. uhh so i've been practicing so i won't freak out.

    • mr. cly & i are house hunting! we actually placed 3 bids already. we're waiting for the last one. everyone says it's a buyers market but that is not the case in our area! the first house we looked at was purchased above the asking price! the 2nd house was sold in 2 days for the asking price or maybe above. & the house we're waiting for needs major renovations. ahhh. the thought of renovations is giving me sleepless nights. loans, contractors, permits galore! we're looking every week and each time we place a bid we're nervous until we hear back. (we find out the counter this thursday!)

    • we're trying to start our little family. we will be married 2 yrs this june and i think i'm getting up there in age so i guess it's time. but the thought of all the responsibility is scaring us.

so that's my confession. i hope to return with more up beat & beautiful posts soon.

    AUGUST

I would like to formally introduce myself. I will be covering all types of activities to help maintain an active lifestyle. You may wonder of all topics, why this? Well, let me explain myself. I started out as a mean fat girl who cared very little about how I dressed, then I progressed to a nicer teenage tomboy who mainly wore oversized t-shirts and now I'm probably define as a flashy dresser. Flashy in the sense of bold colors, animal print patterns, and shiny fabrics, so no I don't show alot of skin.

I love silk, it's so soft and smooth.

I thought it would be fitting to take a picture of my shoes in the grass.

In the contrary I'm pretty conservative, in fact more so then my mom. Interesting huh, a flashy conservative. So what lead to the change in style? Definitely the weight lost had a huge impact because now I have more options/selections for clothing and earning an income so that I can actually purchase the items. Now, what really helped me maintain my current weight is... you've guessed it - EXERCISE. I think the key is finding an activity you enjoy and/or finding someone to carry out the activity with you. And besides looking better, I honestly feel happier and my tolerance for people has improved. So it's definetly a win/win siutation to increase the activities in your life: look better, feel better, have fun, and meet new people. The hard part is just getting yourself there, c'mon you can do it.

    style chic: what we wore

i recently attended my dear friend kai kai's bridal shower and while i was there i thought i'd document my lovely friends' fashion looks. i always loved tiffany's lookbooks from iamstyle-ish so i thought i'd do one too. :)

here's kai kai. doesn't she absolutely look bridal?

    dress: boutique in los angeles

    dress: diane von furstenberg
    shoes: michael kors

    here's august:

look at the lace detail on the dress! i loved her dress so much that i went & got myself one! =D

    & me!
i personally didn't like my outfit after all. it was ok. too preppy for me?

    boots: frye
but i do LOVE my jacket! i normally don't like horizontal lines but this jacket can pull it off!

    hotness: leather jackets

while i was in hong kong there was a craze over tight fitting biker leather jackets. they were everywhere. prices ranged from $100 (for fake leather) to $400 for beautiful ones. at the time, i didn't understand the hype but i do now. because i think it's coming to the U.S.! u know what they say about fashion first hitting the east then coming to the states. we always get everything late! (well, at least this is what i've been told, hee hee).

august bought a beautiful leather jacket in hong kong for under $200. oh how i love it & only wished i bought 1 too! now it's too late. boo. (august show us your gorgeous jacket!)

these are what i found in the states. oh hotness!

S.W.O.R.D padua leather jacket $803.00 - i would feel so empowered in this!

S.W.O.R.D lucca leather jacket $736 - don't mess w/ me! *giggles* i'm so not tough.
IRO misha leather jacket $462 - double breasted front

william rast leather jacket $548 - i love this color! i do think it should be worn more tight though.

aqua 3/4 ruched sleeve leather jacket $298 - the most affordable jacket i was able to find online

TIP: when buying a form fitting leather jacket, buy it SMALL. it will stretch. if u purchase to fit, it will become over sized after a few wears.
I also saw $200 leather jackets at Zara if you want to check out the store. remember to have that cool look on when u look at yourself in the mirror! =)
